Ancestry.com is the first place to look (after you talk to every living relative you have) for information about your ancestry. It has millions of documents and family trees and adds more every day. Enter a name and you quickly see all references to that person in the database, including in census, military, vital and other records, in many languages. People researching their families used to send letters by snail mail and wait patiently for a reply, or visit libraries and strain their eyes reading microfilm. Now that research can be done in minutes rather than hours, with not traveling. Ancestry.com has two membership levels: one gives you access to all U.S. records, and one gives you access to everything on the site. Both types of subscriptions renew automatically each month or every six months. You can also register free for access to some databases, the message boards and learning center. Categories: Family Trees, Search, Collaborate, Learning Center, DNA, Publish, Shop, Hire an Expert, Gift Memberships.
Returns: No pro-rated refunds are issued if you cancel before your renewal date. You must cancel at least two days prior to your renewal date to avoid automatic billing.
Sales Tax: California, Illinois, New York, Ohio, Texas, Utah, Washington.
