Cheap Tickets is an online reservation service that allows you to purchase tickets from most major airlines. The site was founded in 1986 on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. An airline offered an ad agency a number of discounted airline tickets instead of cash to pay for a job. The ad agency owner put an ad in the paper offering "Discounted cheap tickets for sale" to sell them. Realizing he might be onto something, he asked the airline to give him more tickets at a discount, and Cheap Tickets was born.
