Fannie May Candies, founded in 1920 in Chicago by H. Teller Archibald, quickly became a favorite of candy lovers across the country, including its signature Pixies. Introduced in 1946, they are made by hand-pouring caramel over nuts and then placing them on a conveyor belt to be drenched in chocolate. Another favorite is the Trinidad, a coconut candy with a chocolate center. Notes: In order to protect chocolates Fannie May requires second-day air to certain areas of the country, which includes an insulated container packaged with frozen reusable gel packs. From April 26 to September 24 Fannie May cannot ship product to post office boxes, APO, AE or outside of the continental United States. A number of states require expediated shipping during this period. From March 15 to October 22 shipments to Arizona, California, Florida, New Mexico, Nevada and Texas require a minimum of expedited delivery (no post office boxes). Packages can only be shipped on Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays.
